ELLA BETTY DREINHOFER WHITE, 98 of Ranger,
TX passed away in 2000, with interment in
Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1902 in Ranger, TX to
John F. & Grace Truman Parsons Dreinhofer. She
was a graduate of Ranger High School and married
Ven O. White Sr. He preceded her in death. She
was a post mistress for the Ranger Post Office
following in her fathers footsteps for many years.
She was an avid Ranger College Baseball fan and
was a longtime member of the Ranger Historical
Society, on the board of the Pioneer Cemetery
Association. She was Christian Science and was
loved by her family and many friends.
Survivors at the time of her death include: her
sister, Jane Van De Putte (RHS-1932) of St. Clair
Shores, MI; sister-in-law Frances Dreinhofer of
Ranger: 3 granddaughters 6 great-grandchildren,
many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty
"Boots" White (RHS-1943); son, Ven O. White Jr.;
three brothers, Ted Dreinhofer (RHS-1916), Bill
Dreinhofer (RHS-1926), and Henry Dreinhofer (RHS-
1931); & her twin sister, Emily Dreinhofer Gorman
(RHS-1922).
