Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1925

Cora Kohn CORA MARIE KOHN, 93, died Aug. 10, 2001, with interment at Mt. Marion Cemetery in Strawn, TX. Ms. Kohn was born on March 21, 1908 in West Virginia. She came to Ranger, TX as a child. She graduated from Ranger High School and Texas Women's College. She received her Master's degree in Education from Texas A&I at Kingsville. She taught for 42 years, with the last 32 in the Harlingen School system. She retired in 1979 and moved to Breckenridge, TX. She served in the Women's Air Corps during World War II and was a Presbyterian. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors Chapter, in Ranger for 74 years, where she had served as Worthy Matron. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex & Della Kohn; and a sister, Burla Jane Garner (RHS-1928) and a brother-in-law, Brann Garner. Survivors are a niece, Gail Garner Pickrell of Ranger; and a great-nephew, Brann Noble of Breckenridge.
