HALLIE MAY LONG JONES, 92, died on Sept. 17, 2002 in San
Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband of
71 years, G.P. Jones. Hallie was born in Tucumcari, NM,
on Oct. 24, 1909. She graduated from Ranger High School
in the Class of 1926 at Ranger, TX and moved to Dallas.
She began work with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company,
as did her husband, G.P., whom she married in 1929.
She is survived by her daughters, Lily K. Baker and her
husband Richard Baker and Janet Elaine Ihfe and her
husband Richard Ihfe; grandchildren, Gretchen Elaine
Minchey and her husband Nathan Minchey, Kristen Elaine
Biggins and her husband John Biggins, Karl Richard Ihfe
and his wife Kaley Ihfe and Gary Richard Ihfe; three
great-grandchildren, Jesse, Lauren and Casey Minchey;
sister-in-law, Frank Loraine Lousignont and many nieces
and nephews. Hallie and G.P. were former members of
Northridge Presbyterian Church and Southwestern Bell
Pioneers. Her sister was Elizabeth Long Connor (RHS-
1923).
