MEDORA ELLA HALL GAY, 94, of Palisade, CO, and
formerly of Ranger, TX, died March 2, 2002
in Palisade, CO, with burial in Evergreen
Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
Mrs. Gay was born on June 23, 1907 in El Reno
County, Texas. She grew up in Ranger and was
in the Ranger High School Class of 1926. She
married William Homer Gay in Ranger. He pre-
ceded her in death on July 16, 1992. She was
a homemaker and a Baptist. She lived in Ranger
until 1998 when she moved to Colorado to be
closer to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and
her children, William Homer Gay, Jr. (RHS-1941),
Ralph Allen Gay (RHS-1948), Johnny Boyd Gay (RHS-
1953), and Marvin Gay.
Survivors at the time of her death are six grand-
children and numerous great-grandchildren. Her
sister was Bonnie Hall Harrison (RHS-1934).
HUSBAND: WILLIAM HOMER GAY, SR. was born July 17,
1898 and died July 16, 1992, one day short of
his 94th birthday. He was married to Medora
Ellen Hall who graduated from Ranger High School
in the Class of 1926. They had four sons, Marvin
(born in 1926 and died as an infant), William
Homer, Jr. (RHS-1941), Ralph Allen (RHS-1948);
and Johnny Boyd (RHS-1953).
