MYRTLE AVELINE WALKER STOKES, 76, died Feb. 17,
1985 in Austin, TX, with burial there in Austin
Memorial Park Cemetery. She was born on Jan. 12,
1909 in Eastland Co., TX to William O. and Emma
Adams Walker. Myrtle attended Ranger High School
in the Class of 1926 at Ranger, TX and married
Robert Clovis Stokes who also died in 1985. They
had a son, Robert W. Stokes. She siblings were
Ethel Walker, Joseph Walker, William Walker Jr.,
Evner Walker, Allie Walker, Barrett Walker, and
Lois Walker (RHS-1926). All her siblings and son
are deceased.
