CHARLIE CAMPBELL BLACK, 75, died on Sept. 29,
1986 in Houston, TX, with burial in Cook Walden
Forest Oaks Memorial Park at Austin, TX. He was
born on April 2, 1911 in Texas to Samuel R. and
Mabel Knowlton Black. Charlie attended Ranger
High School in the Class of 1928/1928 and Ranger
Jr. College at Ranger, TX. He served in the U.S.
Navy during WWII & married Geraldine Cunningham
who died in 1996. Their daughter was Carla Black
Propes. His brother was Samuel Black Jr.
