THETIE ELMA GLOVER STRECH, 94, died on June 11,
2005 in Hobbs, NM, with burial there in Memory
Gardens.
She was born on May 2, 1911 in Chilhicothe, TX
to Beecher F. & Bennie Williams Glover. Thetie
attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1928
at Ranger, TX and married Elmer L. Strech who
died in 1970. Mrs. Strech was a member of the
First United Methodist Church, a longtime member
of the Lea County Extension, Professional Business
Women's Association and the Crescent Rebekah Lodge
No. 3.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer,
and two brothers, Otha Glover and Beecher Frenchie
Glover.
Mrs. Strech is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth
Trendler of El Paso, TX, and Laphon Smith of Marietta,
GA; three grandchildren, Wess Bailey, Brian and wife
Brandy Bailey and Troy & wife Tash White; four great-
grandchildren, Brianne, Madison and Mia Bailey and
Parker White; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Glover.
