DORIS LUVINIA MURRAY RAWLAND, 70, wife of
Cleburne Times-Review Publisher Emeritus William M.
Rawland, died on Sept. 4, 1984 after a month long
illness, with burial in the Rosehill Cemetery at
Cleburne, TX.
Mrs. Rawland was born on March 28, 1914 in Fort Worth,
TX. She graduated from Ranger High School in the Class
of 1930 at Ranger, TX and attended Baylor University
& Texas Christian University. She & her husband lived
in Cleburne for 51 years, taking roles in the newspaper
business and in civic affairs.
Mrs. Rawland was the daughter of newspaper publishers,
the late Walter and Blanche Talley Murray. Her children
were Elizabeth Rawland, Marianne Rawland, Carolyn Rawland,
Carol Rawland, and William Rawland, Jr. Her siblings
were Mavis Murray Smith (RHS-1936), Catherine Murray
Houghton (RHS-1942), & Marilyn Murray Bell (RHS-1944).
