CATHERINE ELOISE STEWART COFFINS, 92, died on
Dec. 23, 2006, with burial in the Dumas Cemetery
at Dumas, TX.
Catherine was born on Oct. 12, 1914, in Hamilton
County, TX to Henry L. & Mary Jenkins Stewart. She
attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1931/
1932 at Ranger, TX. She married Bert Coffin in
May of 1937, in Ranger. He preceded her in death
in 1981. She was a homemaker & had been a resident
of Dumas since 1988. She was a member of Calvary
Baptist Church in Odessa.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Slaton & husband
Bill of Pagosa Springs, CO; five grandchildren, Kim,
Kathy, Mike, Amy & Angie; eight great-grandchildren;
eight great-great-grandchildren; and special friends
John and Rena Scroggins of Dumas.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Myrna
McVey in 2006. Her siblings were Ruth Stewart, Robert
Stewart, Richard Stewart, Fannie Stewart, Dola Stewart,
Gladys Stewart, Henry Stewart, Merle Stewart (RHS-1935),
& Thomas Stewart (RHS-1939), (all decd).
