JAMES "J.B." STEED, 88, died on June 13, 2003 in
Midland, TX, with burial at the Eastland Cemetery
in Eastland, TX.
J.B. was born on Nov. 29, 1914 to Mr. James S.
Steed & Althea Anderson in Drumwright, OK.
J.B. grew up in Ranger, TX, where he graduated
from high school and junior college before graduating
from Oklahoma University. He was a Navy veteran.
After his marriage to Ruth Hearn in 1979, they moved
to Odessa, TX. J.B. retired from Phillips Petroleum
after 54 years of service. J.B. and Ruth later moved
to Manor Park in Midland, TX.
J.B. was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors at the time of his death are his wife, Ruth
H. Steed of Midland; a daughter, Ann Laird, one grand-
daughter Suzann Masters, and two great-granddaughters
Anna and Erica Masters.
