MILDRED MILLER SALTERS TURNER, 94, of Garland, TX
passed away on Sept. 25, 2008.
She was born June 4, 1914 outside Ft. Worth and moved to
Ranger, TX when she was four years old. At the age of
eight the family moved to Tiffin where she stayed until
she graduated from Ranger High School at Ranger, TX.
During WWII, she worked for North American helping to
build planes for the war effort. She worked as a
secretary in Dallas before moving to California where
she worked for "Campus Crusade" until she retired in
Athens, TX. She was a member of Lakepoint Baptist
Church in Rowlett.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Coy Turner and
Ben Salters. She was preceded in death by her parents
Cennet and Elizabeth Miller and her brothers and sisters,
Orville Miller, Horace Miller, John C. Miller, Ruth
Bratcher, Gladys Watson, and Amy Webb.
Survivors include her sister Bernice Shaner of Garland,
nieces and nephews Anita DuPont of Houston, Pat Bratcher
of Houston, Judy Kelly of Lewisville, Helen Jenkins of
Midland, Laverne Little of Midland, Nona Faye Harris of
Brownfield, Lois Bounds of Brownwood, Annabelle Bounds
of Monahans, Dale Watson of Waxahachie, Mary Elizabeth
Robertson of Garland, Beverly Bounds of Garland, Lynn
Watson of Wills Point, Theo Leta Baron of Abilene. Betty
Blankenship of Cedar Hills, O'lene Stone of Austin and
Ann McFarlin. In addition she is also survived by
numerous great-nieces & nephews.
