Grace Jennings Mann GRACE LEE JENNINGS MANN, 99, longtime Kermit resident, went to be with the Lord on May 21, 2012, with burial at Kermit Cemetery in Kermit, TX. Grace was born Sept. 26, 1912, in Necessity Community near Ranger, TX to Ernest Madison Jennings & Charlie Angeline Eubanks Jennings. She was the fourth of nine children born to the Jennings family and was the last to survive. Grace graduated from Ranger High School in 1932 and took several courses at Ranger Junior College. She met Harvey Mann in Oct. 1934 and they were married in Feb of 1935. She is preceded in death by husband, Harvey and son, Hal. At the time of her death, she was survived by her son, Rex Lee Mann & wife, Carola of Richmond; other survivors include grandchildren, Gina Bairrington of Fort Worth; Travis Mann of Leander; Stephen Mann, of Poolville; Michael Mann of Kerrville; Capt. Eric Mann of Clovis, NM; great-grand- children are Ryan Bairrington; Whitney Reeding; Courtney Bairrington; Che Mann; Taylor Schaffner; Tyler Schaffner; Tyler Mann and Cody Mann. Her sister was Ira Jennings Sterling (RHS-1926). During her life, Grace was faithful to her Savior Jesus Christ and served in many capacities of her beloved First Baptist Church of Kermit. She taught Sunday School classes, was a Sunday School Dept. Superintendent and a sponsor for the Girls Auxiliary. She loved going with her family to summer camp at Paisano Baptist Encampment in the beautiful Davis Mountains of West Texas. Grace loved cooking for her family, going on vacations and oil painting. Grace was a successful business owner of a children’s clothing store in Kermit known as “The Jack & Jill Shop.“
