Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1933

Hazel Ervin HAZEL ERVIN MAY, 86, died July 11, 2002 in Salt Lake City, UT. She was born in Swenson, TX on May 2, 1916 to J.R. & Ethel Ervin of Ranger, TX. Hazel was married in 1944 in San Antonio, TX to Charles Joseph May. She served as an Air Force nurse in World War II. She also worked as a nurse at the Salt Lake Veterans Hospital for 27 years. Her life goal and work was nursing and raising a family. Her life was full of concern and caring for others. The radiance of her heartfelt smile nourished all those around her. She will be missed and held fondly in the hearts of all who experienced her goodness. She was a member of the St. Marks Episcopcal Church. Hazel was preceded in death by her daughter Jane Ann. Survivors at the time of her death are her husband, Charles J. May; son, John Charles May of Whidbey Island, WA; daughter, Elizabeth May Patterson; son- in-law, David Patterson; three grandsons, Jake, Billy & Sammy Patterson, all of Mercer Island, WA.
