ROBERTA MAE BLANKENSHIP HILL, 89, of Ranger, TX
died Dec. 3, 2003, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery
at Ranger, TX. Her last residence had been at Humble,
TX.
Mrs. Hill was born on Feb. 9, 1914 in Ranger to
Myrtle Barrett & John A. Blankenship. She was a
1933 graduate of Ranger High School. She married
Odis Lee Hill in 1933 in Stephens County on the
family ranch. He preceded her in death in August
of 1991 and was buried in Ranger. Mrs. Hill worked
along side her husband as a bookkeeper & accountant
and worked for National Life and Accident Life
Insurance Company in Galveston for many years. She
became dorm director of Ranger College and retired
from there. She was a member of the Eastside Baptist
Church in Ranger.
At the time of her death, Mrs. Hill was survived by
sons George Hill (RHS-1957) of Houston and Rex Hill
(RHS-1956) of Oklahoma City, nine grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Her eldest son, Sevannah Lee Hill (RHS-1953) preceded
her in death.
