ELIZABETH BRUMMETT EARNEST LOYD, 72, died
on March 31, 1989 in Midland, TX, with burial in
the Loyd family plot in Forest Lawn Cemetery at
Dallas, TX.
She was born Jan. 1, 1917 in Oklahoma and was the
daughter of Grace Willie Short Earnest and the step-
daughter of Roy Thompson Earnest. Roy, Grace, and
Elizabeth moved to Ranger, TX in the early days of
the oil boom. Her step-father worked for Prairie
Oil & Gas and the family lived in the Prairie Camp
just south of town. Elizabeth graduated from Ranger
High School in the Class of 1933 and married William
Henry Loyd, Jr. They lived in Kermit, Corpus Christi,
and Midland Texas.
