WOODROW DAVID PATTERSON, 26, died Oct. 24,
1944 during WWII when the ship Arisan Maru,
transporting Allied Prisoners of War from the
Philippines to Japan, was sunk by the USS
Shark. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery at
Ranger, TX. He was born on Dec 5, 1915 in
Petrolia, TX to Robert B. & Mollie Tripplet
Patterson. Woodrow attended Ranger High
School in the Class of 1933. His spouse
is unknown. Siblings were Mary Patterson,
William L. Patterson, Thelma Patterson,
Charles B. Patterson, Anne Patterson Gray
(RHS-1930), Marguerite Patterson (RHS-1932),
Bettie Patterson Ownby (RHS-1937), Robert A.
Patterson (RHS-1938), & Roy C. Patterson (RHS-
1943). All the siblings are deceased.
