TERRELL W. WILLIAMSON, 89, passed away on April 28,
2010, with burial at the Eastland Cemetery in Eastland,
TX.
Terrell was born July 31, 1920 in Staff, Eastland, County,
TX, to Frank & Edna Earle Williamson. He was raised on a
farm in Staff, which today is Lake Leon. He graduated in 1936
from Ranger High School at Ranger, TX & went on to Tarleton
State University for two years. He went to work as an
electrician for Texas Electric Service in Eastland and
Breckenridge. From there he went to work for the Defense
Department as an electrician in 1942. The Defense Department
assigned him duties in Oahu, HI and he was there until he was
drafted into the U.S. Army in 1946. He served at Camp Lee, VR,
where he attained the rank of Sergeant before being honorably
discharged at San Antonio, TX, in 1947. Hethen worked as an
electrical contractor in Paducah, KY for several years before
returning to Texas. He was a member of the IBEW Local 920 for
50 years, retiring in 1986. He married Bobbye Joe Johnson
in Sept. of 1958 in Breckenridge, TX. They moved to Abilene
that same year and began a life together of nearly 52 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Eddie
Williamson (RHS-1926) & F.C. Williamson (RHS-1935).
He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbye Joe of Potosi; two
sons, Eddie Frank Williamson and wife Ina Jo of Potosi, and
Billy Joe Johnson and wife Lois of Potosi; daughter Nell Kennedy
and husband Charles of Olden; two grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his
faithful companion, his dog, Cindy.
WIFE: BOBBYE JOE WHEAT JOHNSON WILLIAMSON passed away on Sept. 1,
2010. She may have attended Ranger High School but not graduated.
After her first husband, Bill Johnson, was killed, she married
Terrell Williamson (RHS-1936).
