HELEN RUTH YUNG MAIER died in 1995 in Midland,
TX. Her brothers were Bill Yung (RHS-1950) & Ben Yung
(RHS-1940) Yung. She was married to Jeff Rawls
(RHS-1935) and they had two children, a son, Jeff
and a daughter, Barbara. Helen later married Jack
Maier in Ranger, TX in 1942 & they had a daughter,
Bekki. Her husband, Jack Maier, died Dec. 6, 2002
in Midland. They are buried at Resthaven Memorial
Park. Helen attended Ranger High School in the
Class of 1937.
They are survived by one son, Jeff Rawls & wife Mary;
two daughters, Barbara Atchison and Bekki Glenn; nine
grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-
great-grandchild.
HUSBAND: JACK MAIER died on Dec. 6, 2002, with burial
in Resthaven Memorial Park.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1922 to Sterling P. and Agnes
McCallister Maier. He served in the U.S. Army during
World War II from 1941 to 1945. He married Helen
Ruth Maier in Ranger in Sept. of 1942. He had been
employed with Stewart and Stevenson, the Petroleum
Museum and First Baptist Church. He was a member of
the Lions Club and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife,
Helen, and one grandson, J.L. "Chuck" Price. He is
survived by one son, Jeff Rawls and wife Mary; two
daughters, Barbara Atchison and Bekki Glenn; nine
grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-
great-grandchild.
