GLYN ED MURPHY, 85, of Breckenridge, TX died
Jan. 20, 2004. Remains were cremated.
Glyn Ed Murphy was born on December 1, 1918
in Snyder, TX, to parents W. Ed Murphy and
Frieda Von Roeder. Glen Ed grew up in Borden
County and attended schools in Gail. He
graduated from Ranger High School in the
Class of 1937 and attended Texas Tech
University. He was a veteran of the U.S.
Army Air Corps as a Master Sergeant in WWII.
Glyn Ed was a member of the VFW, American
Legion, and the Elks Lodge. Glyn Ed was
preceded in death by his parents, one son,
and one brother, Lloyd Murphy (RHS-1934).
Glen Ed is survived and lovingly remembered
by one daughter, Maxine and husband Gerry
Cockrell of Abilene; one son, Robert Murphy
and wife Desley of Sidney, Australia; two
brothers, Bruce Murphy (RHS-1934) of New
Mexico and Brent Murphy of Snyder; four
grandchildren, Lynzey, Matt, Mareesha, and
Louis Murphy all of Australia.
