VIVIAN CHAMPION HUGHES was born in Ranger, TX, the
daughter of John Franklin Champion & Anna Belle Winks
who came to Ranger in 1917 with their daughter,
Hortense, & son, Donald. Vivian had another brother,
John Franklin Champion Jr. (RHS-1939), also born in
Ranger.
She was married to Fred Hughes of Ranger, where they
lived until moving to Longview, TX in 1940. They had
two sons, Donald Hughes & John Hughes.
Vivian died in Houston on Oct. 10, 1977 after the
death of her husband in 1975. Their two sons were
living in Texas in 1989.
