EVA KATHLEEN REESE POYNOR, 97, passed
away on June 24, 2016 in Houston, TX, with burial
in Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
She was born April 8, 1919 in Fort Worth, TX to
Sinnett Reese & Theresa Thranert Reese. She was a
1937 graduate of Ranger High School in Ranger, TX
and attended Ranger Jr. College. She married O.B.
Poynor in Dec. of 1953 and for a brief time lived
in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Upon returning to Ranger,
she was employed by Texas Electric Company for 19
years. Eva K was an active member of the First United
Methodist Church, a member of the Willing Workers
Class, the 1920 club and member of the Past Worthy
Matron of Chapter 257 of the order of Eastern Star.
Eva K is predeceased by her husband, O.B. Poynor;
her parents, Sinnett and Theresa Reese; brothers,
Tom Fred Reeves (RHS-1936), William Reese (RHS-1941),
and Buster Reese, and sister, Joy Hart.
She is survived by daughter, Miriam Poynor Riewe
(RHS-1965) and husband Victor; three grandchildren,
Elizabeth Hensley and husband Bert, Stephen Riewe
and wife Lacy and David Riewe and wife Kristin.
She is also survived by six great-grandchildren,
Tripp, Jackson, Triston Samantha, Katelyn & Knox.
