LORENE HARRELL MASSENGALE, 89, died Jan 29, 2010
at her daughter's home in Bryan, TX, with burial at
Murray Cemetery in Milam County. She was born on
Oct. 9, 1920, in Lufkin, TX to Lelia & Doyle Harrell.
Lorene attended Ranger High School in the Class of
1937 at Ranger, TX. She married Elmo B. "Stack"
Baggett in 1943 and married Col. Herbert Williams
Massengale in 1976. Mrs. Massengale was a lab and
X-ray technician at Richards Clinic and Hospital,
retiring in 1969. She also worked the family ranch
in Tracy. She enjoyed traveling, hunting & sewing
and she was an avid University of Texas football fan.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Stack
Baggett, in 1971; by her husband, Col. Massengale,
in 2009; by her parents; and two brothers, Ford
Harrell (RHS-1928) and Bayne Harrell(RHS-1933).
Survivors are a daughter, a stepson, a stepdaughter,
a sister, Frances Harrell Collins (RHS-1935) and 11
grandchildren, also, nine great-grandchildren.
