Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1938

Earnest Green ERNEST ROLAND GREEN, JR., 86, passed away Nov. 12, 2007 at his home. Ernest was born Aug. 30, 1921, in Hamilton County to the late Berta & Ernest Green. He graduated from Ranger High School in 1938 at Ranger, TX & graduated from Baylor Dental College in 1944. He immediately began serving in the U.S. Army. After an honorable discharge, he moved to River Oaks, opened his private practice and remained there for over 50 years. He had lived in Fort Worth since his retirement. His father, the late Dr. Ernest Green, was a chiropractor for years in Ranger. Ernest had a great passion for photography and was a voracious reader. He was a longtime member of Southside Church of Christ. Ernest was preceded in death by two sons, Larry & David; sister, Marie Green DuMouchel (RHS-1944); and a brother, Fred Allen Green (RHS-1959), who died just hours prior to him. Survivors at the time of his death: wife of 35 years, Dorothy; children, Gayanne Clemens and her husband, Richard, Charles W. Crabtree and Gary M. Crabtree & his wife, Debbie; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grand- children; brother, Harold B. Green (RHS-1949); and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ernest will really be missed by his Boston Terrier, April.
