ANNABELL WRIGHT WAYNICK, 87, of Eastland, TX died
Jan. 29, 2009 in Eastland, with burial in Mount Marion
Cemetery in Strawn, TX.
Born Aug. 22, 1921 in Ranger TX to Julius & Rosalie Preslar
Wright. She was raised in Ranger. After Ranger High School,
she worked in a doctors office in Ranger. She met & married
W.L. "Dub" Waynick in April of 1940 in Putnam. They moved
to McCamey, TX. During WWII Dub was drafted into the Coast
Guard and she followed him to Texas City & New Orleans. They
returned to McCamey after WWII where she worked for Southern
Union Gas Co. and was active in the Eastside Baptist Church
and they raised their family. They moved to Thurber in 1975
and were active in Gordon Baptist Church. They retired and
moved to Eastland in 1980 and were active in First Baptist
Church. Dub preceded her in death in 2002. She enjoyed sewing,
crocheting and camping in the mountains.
She is survived by; 2 daughters and sons-in-law; Rosalie and
Don Bradshaw and Judiann & Tommy Hixson of Eastland, 4 grand-
children; Keith and Scott Bradshaw, Kippy and Derek Hixson, 3
great-grandchildren; Kirstin, Aspen & Gabriel.
