Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1938 RJC

Norma Mills NORMA MORINE MILLS, 89, passed away Nov. 24, 2009 in Ranger, TX, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. Norma was born on Aug. 23, 1920 in Ranger to E. Preston Mills & Mary (Langford) Mills. Norma lived in Ranger with her sister all her life. She graduated from Ranger High School in 1938 and attended Ranger Jr. College. She was a member of the Ranger Chapter Gamma Beta Phi of the Beta Sigma Phi and an active member of the First United Methodist Church. Norma worked with her sister, Eva Mills, in their father's grocery store, Mills Groceries, at the corner of Rusk & Walnut Street. In June 1945, she went to work for the First State Bank in Ranger and after 40 years retired as a teller supervisor. Norma and Eva traveled extensively through out their lives and went to such places as Alaska, Hawaii, Caribbean and many car trips to visit their brother in California. Norma's life in Ranger was blessed by a community of supportive friends. She was doubly blessed by the friendship of Roseatta Stephens. Norma is preceded in death by her parents, brother Elvis Mills (RHS-1933) & sister Eva Mills (RHS-1933). She is survived by her brother Archie Mills (RHS-1927) of CA, nephews Jim and Terry Mills of California and a niece Martha Clutius of Ft.Worth. The Mills Family
