Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1938

Mabel Falls Ramsey MABEL FALLS RAMSEY passed away on June 30, 2017 at the age of 96 with family by her side, with burial at the Merriman Cemetery near Ranger, TX. Mabel was born March 8, 1921 in Ranger, TX to Phillip Thomas & Etta Lou Mainard Falls. She was a graduate of Ranger High School in the Class of 1938 and worked as a hairdresser. In June of 1944, she married her husband, Mutt Ramsey, in Ranger. They were married for almost 50 years, separated only by Mutt's passing. They raised two children, Paul and Patsy, spending time in Lake Charles, LA, Columbia, MS, McAllen, TX, & Rockport, TX. After retiring, they moved to Tyler, TX. Mabel & Mutt made the most of their retirement by traveling around the country on several driving trips. But, no matter how far they traveled, Mabel always made a comfortable home to welcome her children, grandchildren, and eventually great-grandchildren for every holiday. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Mutt Ramsey; son, Paul Ramsey, and daughter, Patsy Ramsey Anderson; siblings George Falls (RHS-1940), Inez Falls Hunt (RHS-1936), Frances Falls Dickinson (RHS-1942), Jamie Falls Floyd (RHS-1940), & Thomas Falls (RHS-1947). She is survived by her brother, Owen Falls (RHS-1949) and his wife, Pat; four grandchildren: Patrick Ramsey and his wife, Ginny, Leslie Ramsey, Ryan Anderson and his wife, Keri, and Jonathan Anderson; daughter-in-law Dasha Ramsey, son-in-law Jim Anderson; great-grandchildren Sophia, David, Conor, Nolan, and Etta Claire; and many nieces and nephews.
