BESSIE LOU ROBERSON RIDER, 78, died in
Andrews, TX in June of 2000, with interment
in the Andrews West Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 29, 1921 in Ranger, TX &
attended Ranger High School in the Class of
1939. Bessie marred Ralph Rider in Dec. of
1949 in Ranger and moved to Andrews in 1968
from Stamford, TX. She had worked as a nurse
for Permian General Hospital in Andrews for
five years. She was a member of the First
Baptist Church in Andrews.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1990, at
Andrews & a brother, David Roberson (RHS-1938).
Survivors at the time of her death were her
daughter, Mitzi Mikols of Fairfax, VA, who
was married to an Air Force officer. A son,
Ronnie Rider, now lives just outside of Pagosa
Springs, CO.
