JAMES F. FERRIS, 65, was the first of 4 children born to
Sally Virginia (Winn) & James Bennett Ferris in Ranger, TX,
on April 8, 1922. He had three sisters who also attended
Ranger High School, Dorothy Mae Ferris Bollen (RHS-1941),
Mary Ferris Bollen (RHS-1942) and Ella Joy Ferris Brewer
(RHS-1944). He was married to Hazel Smith of Freeport, TX
and they had two children. A son, Randy Ferris & his wife,
Sharon, had two daughters; & a daughter, JoAnne Ferris &
her husband Tony Wheadon had a son named Garrett. James
served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He died on
Nov. 15, 1987 while living in Clute, TX.
