SUE AUSTIN PACK MASSEY, 89, of Austin, TX passed
away on May 29, 2011.
Sue was born Jan. 23, 1922 in Ranger, TX to Vesta
"Woffie" Austin & Coy C. Austin. Sue attended
Ranger High School but graduated from Odessa High
School in 1939. She married Coleman S. Pack, a
U.S. Navy officer, in Sept. of 1942. He lost his
life at sea on Sept. 13, 1944. Sue remarried in
June of 1954, to Oval Massey. He died in 1981,
after a lengthy illness.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husbands;
brothers, Ben Donald and Rodney Paige Austin; and
aunt, Violet Wickware Jobe of Crowley.
Survivors at the time of her death are her godchildren,
Lea Montgomery and Judd Montgomery of Fort Worth and
her best friends, Yvonne Zimmer of Pflugerville and
Charlotte Montgomery of Fort Worth.
