Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1939

DOUGLAS FONZO ROSE, 75, of Eastland, TX, died April 15, 1997, with burial in Colony Cemetery near Ranger, TX. He was born June 10, 1921 in Crossroads to J.C. & Bessie Rose. He attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1939 and married Dolores Norton in 1943. He worked as a carpenter and was also employed by the City of Eastland for several years before retiring in 1987. Survivors at the time of his death include three sons, Tommy Rose (RHS-1965) of Eastland, Dean Rose (RHS-1967) of Ranger and Don Rose (RHS-1977) of Fort Worth; three brothers, Robert O. Rose (RHS-1933) of Odessa, Dwellie V. Rose (RHS-1934) of Eastland & Charlie C. Rose (RHS- 1936) of Lake Leon; one sister, Velma Lou Walker (RHS- 1948) of Eastland; six grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Other brothers were Harland Rose (RHS- 1933), John Rose (RHS-1938) and D.V. Rose (RHS-1934).
