Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1939

Emma McCleskey Bonner EMMA LETA "SKEETER" MCCLESKEY BONNER, 93, died July 23, 2015, with burial at Arlington Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK. Emma Leta "Skeeter" McCleskey Bonner was born on Nov. 19, 1921 in Stephens Co., TX to rancher James Turney McCleskey & Sula Penelope Langford McCleskey. Emma attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1939 at Ranger, TX. After riding the range, she graduated from Draughan Business School and worked in civil service during the war. She married her best friend, William Frederick "Fred" Bonner, in 1945. Together, they worked, celebrated life and reveled in family. Preceded in death by husband; parents; stepmother, Hattie McCleskey; sisters, Cleo McCleskey and Ovesta McCleskey Clay (RHS-1928); granddaughter, Jennifer Bonner; & grandson, William Trevor Clark. She is survived by son, William T Bonner; daughter, Lisa Bonner Clark; granddaughters, Jackie and Jan Bonner and Kira Clark; and her Texas family. HUSBAND: WILLIAM FRED BONNER, 72, died while living at Oklahoma City, OK on July 10, 1993. He was born Feb. 16, 1921 & graduated from Sweetwater High School. William was married to Emma McCleskey (RHS-1939).
