Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1941

Dora Robertson DORA ROBERTSON NISKA, 84, of Gunter, TX and formerly of Ranger, TX passed away Sept. 22, 2007 in a Gunter nursing home, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. Dora was born on April 5, 1923 in Stephens County, Texas to Noble & Tennie Robertson. She grew up in the Ranger area and was a graduate of Ranger High School. Dora went to nursing school where she became a Licensed Vocational Nurse and for many years worked for Walnut St. Clinic. She married A.W. "Bill" Niska in August of 1944 at Fort Worth, TX, in a double ceremony with her classmate Billie Fry. He preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 2001. She was a member of the Mesquite & Rusk St. Church of Christ. Dora was a member of the Senior Citizens in Ranger and the Bullock Quilting Club. Dora is survived by her three daughters Suzi Sharp of Edmond, OK, Janan Chandler of Argyle, TX, and Lanelle Thomas of Edmond, OK. She also leaves behind 6 grand- children and 6 great-grandchildren. Her brother was Noble Robertson (RHS-1941). Dora died just two months after her classmate Billie Fry Smith (RHS-1941). HUSBAND: ARNALD WILLIAM "BILL" NISKA was born April 18, 1915, and died Sept. 4, 2001 in Ranger, TX. He was the husband of Dora Robertson Niska (RHS-1941). They had three daughters, Marla Sue (RHS-1963), Janan Marie (RHS- 1969), and Lanelle Faye (RHS-1974).
