PAULINE DEATON PENNOCK, 86, died in Boerne,
TX on July 18, 2010, with burial in the New Gordon
Cemetery at Gordon, TX.
Pauline was born on April 15, 1924 in Wilmington,
CA. Her parents, Delphia and Nathan Deaton soon
after moved to Texas where Pauline grew up while
her father worked in the oil fields. She attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1941 at Ranger,
TX. In 1947, she married U.S. Air Force pilot Paul
"Pete" Pennock while she was working in Tokyo, Japan.
The military took them on many travels & they finally
retired in Tucson, AZ in 1968. Pauline then sold real
estate for 22 years in Tucson to primarily military
personnel relocating. Pauline loved her volunteer
work, especially with MOAA and the VA Hospital. She
was the Volunteer of the Year in 2004.
Pauline is survived by her three children, Troy Warren,
wife Susan; Ann Dixon, husband Von; Janet Pacheco,
husband Fernando. She also has five grandchildren;
and three great-grandchildren. C.W. Deaton (RHS-1943)
of New Jersey is her only surviving sibling.
Pauline was predeceased by the love of her life, Pete;
they were married for 50 years. She is also predeceased
by two brothers, Jack Deaton (RHS-1948) and Bob Deaton
(RHS-1947).
