WINIFRED GORDON DERR, 74, a homemaker,
died May 1, 1999, in Arlington, TX, with burial
at Moore Memorial Gardens.
Winifred Gordon Derr was born Jan. 4, 1925, in
Ranger, TX, graduated from Ranger High School in
the Class of 1942. She devoted her life to taking
care of and loving her family. She spent 15 years
working with the Boy Scouts and also worked with the
Girl Scouts. She was a member of the Arlington Gem
and Mineral Club and was active at First Christian
Church of Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Paula June
Derr. Survivors at the time of her death include her
husband of 52 years, Paul Derr of Arlington; sons,
John Derr of Austin, Gordon Derr and wife, Tami, of
Las Vegas, NV, Ray Derr and wife Theresa of Virginia
and Lee Derr and wife Susan of Grapevine; daughter
Dena Derr of Arlington; several grandchildren and one
aunt, Winifred Lamb. Her siblings were Byron Gordon
(RHS-1944), June Gordon Travena (RHS-1941), & Vera
Gordon Gay (RHS-1945).
