H.G. ADAMS JR., 66, died on Nov. 12, 1993. He
was born on June 2, 1927, in Ranger, TX. H.G.
attended St. Rita's, Ranger High School in Class
of 1943 and Ranger College. His parents, Horace
Greeley and Irene Adams, operated the Adams
Grocery in Ranger, & H.G., Jr., then took over
and operated the store for the rest of his life.
In 1950, he married Camilla Gordon (RHS-1949).
They had two children, Becky Lynn who married
Randy Underwood and they now live in Shallowater
and Bobby Gordon Adams, who now owns/operates
Adams Grocery. Becky was in the RHS Class of
1969 & Bobby was in the RHS Class of 1978. Two
grandsons, Keith and Brandt Underwood, both
attending Texas Tech in 2000. His sister was
Katherine Adams Brothers (RHS-1942).
