Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1944 RJC

Veteran of WWII BOB JACK HICKEY, SR., 81, died on Nov. 5, 2009, in Mineral Wells, TX, with burial in Woodland Park Cemetery. Bob was born Feb. 19, 1928, in Breckenridge to Alma and Leota Hickey. He graduated from Ranger High School & Ranger Junior College in Ranger, TX, and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy during World War II. From 1958 to 1973, Bob was the co-publisher of the Mineral Wells Index. He was active in the Lions Club and the American Legion and was a longstanding member of the First Baptist Church. Bob was predeceased by his parents; brother, Wendall Hickey; his daughter, Pamela Jane; & grandson Gordon Hickey. Survivors: His children, Bobby Jack Hickey Jr., Jill Ann Moore, Jeff Hickey and his wife, Charlotte; his children's mother, Marilyn Bell (RHS-1944) ; grand- children, Tamara Austin & husband, Bill, Tyson Hickey, Trey Hickey and wife, Devan, Denise Moore and husband, Pat, Kim Bourgeois and husband, Troy, Ken Moore Jr., Terri Hickey and Russell Hickey; eight great-grand- children; and many loving cousins and friends.
