CALLIE DEATON MAHAFFEY, 83, passed away Feb. 17,
2010 at her home in Fort Worth, TX, having been ill
for several years.
She was born in Olney, TX on Sept. 21, 1926 to Frank
& Meda Deaton who moved to Ranger, TX in 1928. She
graduated in 1944 from Ranger High School, attended
Ranger Jr. College & received her degree in Journalism
from Texas Tech University. She married Bob Mahaffey
in 1948 and they had over 62 years together.
Family members are Bob Mahaffey of the home; sons
Scott Mahaffey, Ft. Worth & Steve Mahaffey, Carthage,
TX, five grandchildren, sister Jo Ann Deaton Beavers
and brother Bo Deaton (RHS-1948), both of Fort Worth.
