FRANCES LAVERNE HARRIS BEALL, 86, of Eastland,
TX, passed away Feb. 11, 2013 in Eastland, with
burial in the Merriman Cemetery near Ranger, TX.
Frances was born May 12, 1926 in Carbon TX, to Thomas
Basil Harris & Abbie Lorene Carrol. She grew up in
Ranger attending Ranger High School in the Class of
1944, and Roby, then moved to Houston in 1947. She
attended Wharton Jr. College and was a bookkeeper in
the Houston area. She later worked with Wade during
his time with the U.S. Justice Department as a U.S.
Marshall.
She married Wade in Nov. of 1969 in Houston. They
moved to Eastland in 1988 where she was a member of
the Daugherty St. Church of Christ. She & Wade worked
18 years helping the needy including 8 years at the
Daugherty St. Church of Christ Service Center. Wade
preceded her in death in 2010.
Survivors include a daughter, Verna Jones Hoefar and
husband Larry of Humble, TX, Weldon Jones and wife
Barbara of Austin, Tom Jones of Baton Rouge, Wade’s
son, Stanley Beall and wife Thelma of West Virginia,
niece Kay Baker of Odessa, TX and numerous grand-
children & great-grandchildren as well as relatives
in the Eastland area.
