JOHN VEAL ADAMS, 82, of Plainview, TX died on
Nov. 7, 2009, with burial at Plainview Memorial
Park in Plainview.
He was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Ranger, TX to Eli
& Sara Novella (Smith) Adams. He graduated from
Ranger High School in the Class of 1945 and
married Carroll Boyce in July of 1954, at Abilene.
She died in 1990. His eight brothers and sisters
also are deceased. Mr. Adams was an avid hunter
and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors and life
to the fullest. He was in the U.S. Army during
in WWII. Some of his siblings were Adam Monroe
Adams, Lucy Annie Adams, Idella Novella Adams,
Charles Homer Adams, Joseph Eli Adams, and Ada
Bernice Adams (RHS-1940).
Survivors include his daughter and her husband,
Linda and Tommy Sutton of Fritch; a grandson and
two great-grandsons.
