MARY SUE STRONG TREADWAY, 68, was born on July 15,
1927, in Ranger, TX. Her parents were Cumilla
Shults & John Thomas Strong. She was in the Ranger
High School Class of 1945. Mary died Feb. 16, 1996,
while living at Snyder, TX. Burial was at Evergreen
Cemetery in Ranger. She was married to Lewis Edward
Treadway who lives in Eastland. Her siblings were
Frances Strong Goswick (RHS-1934), John "Tommy" Strong
(RHS-1939), Charles W. Strong, and Claudia Strong.
HUSBAND: LEWIS E. "SHORTY" TREADWAY, 81, of Ranger
died March 22, 2005 at his residence, with interment
at Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Treadway was born in Ranger on Feb. 4, 1924 to
O.J and Eva (Burleson) Treadway. He married Mary
Sue Strong (RHS-1946) in April of 1948 in Eastland
County. Mr. Treadway was born and raised in Ranger
and later moved to Snyder where he worked for Tesoro.
He moved back to Ranger in 1998.
At the time of his death, Shorty was survived by his
daughter, Marilynn Rogers and husband Bill of Ranger;
sister, Marynell Rogers and husband Kenneth and Jolene
Johnson and husband Bryan all of Eastland; granddaughter,
Amy Browder & husband Jared of Eastland; niece, Verganna
Halbrook and husband Don of DeLeon; and several other
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Sue,
and brother Winfred and Orville Treadway.
