Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1945 RJC

Elvis Warner ELVIS WAYNE "BILL" WARNER, 88, of Corpus Christi, TX passed away in Dec. of 2016, with entombment at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Elvis was born on Jan. 2, 1928 in Dublin, TX to Harry & Pearl Warner. He graduated from Ranger High School in May of 1945 and joined the U.S. Navy in 1946. He was honorably discharged in 1947 and continued to serve in the reserves until 1952. He graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Ranger Jr. College in 1949. Graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1951 from Texas Christian University. While attending TCU he met and married Betty Louise Hadden in June of 1951. He began his career at Reynolds Metals Company, Sherwin Plant in 1954 & worked there for 38 years in the Personnel Department becoming the Personnel Manager before his retirement in 1992. His interests included spending time with his family and 4 boys in scouting, little league, water sports, boating and golf. In retirement he and Betty traveled extensively including an Around-the-World trip. His love of family continued in support of his grandchildren including attending all of their graduation and wedding ceremonies. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Pearl as well as his wife of 51 years Betty. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Don Crow; his four sons, Bill (Cathie) Warner, Barry (Debbie) Warner, Brad (Melanee) Warner and Bob (Brenda) Warner as well as 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren with another great-grandchild due this February.
