LILLIAN CORDELIA ADAMS BONEY, 89, passed
away on April 6, 2018, with burial in Ranger, TX.
She was born on Aug. 2, 1928 in Ranger, TX to Walter
& Annie Adams. She was named after her two grandmas
Lillian Valentine & Cordelia Adams. Lillian attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1945.
After a hard life on the farm, she went to Dallas
and attended secretarial school, then worked for
the City of Dallas Water Department. While in
Ranger visiting family she met and married Jack
Crockett Boney (RHS-1943) in April of 1948. They
eventually became self employed doing construction
work. This provided them a good life style and a
wonderful retirement full of National & International
travel.
She is remembered by her children as a loving and
kind woman. Her motto was always "If you can't say
something good don't say anything at all" and she
lived by that rule. She taught her kids and lived
by the golden rule.
She was a long standing member of United Methodist
Church. She loved Jesus and her family with all her
heart.
Lillian is survived by 2 brothers, 4 children, 7
grandchildren, 8 great-grandkids and many nieces
and nephews whom she loved and took care of through
the years. All of which will miss her love, her
smile and her tender loving care. Her brother was
Carlton Adams (RHS-1942).
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister
Clare Mae Adams Cox (RHS-1950), & brother Welton
Adams (RHS-1946).
