PAUL ODELL MATHIS, 72, a retired auditor for
Burlington-Northern Railroad, died Nov. 8, 2000, at
Stephenville, TX, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery
in Ranger, TX.
Paul was born Oct. 31, 1928, in Ranger. He attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1946 and served in
the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a
Baptist and lived 44 years in Ft. Worth before moving
to Stephenville in 1999.
Survivors at the time of his death were his wife, Leola
Ussery (RHS-1946); daughter and son-in-law, Paula and
Ray McCoy of Stephenville; granddaughters, Tara Wade,
Amanda McCoy Sharay McCoy; six great-grandchildren;
and cousins, Verne Peterson of Granbury and Sandra
Peterson of Waco.
