Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1946

Wayne Friday FREDERICK WAYNE FRIDAY, 76, resident of Coweta, OK died Jan. 7, 2005 at his home, with interment at the Okmulgee Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Friday was born April 11, 1928 in Desdemona, TX, to Thomas Ollie and Mary Alice Wisdom Friday. He attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1946 at Ranger, TX. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. After his time in the service, he moved to Okmulgee and worked for the utility company installing poles. Soon after this, he went to work for R.E.C. and was a land agent. Later he worked for PSO, Transok, and then GRDA as a land agent, before retiring. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tulsa & the Okmulgee VFW Post 1189. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Alta Ruth Langdon Friday, and a brother, Rex Friday. Survivors at the time of his death include his children, Thomas W. Friday and wife Rhonda Jean of Broken Arrow, Linda June Singleton-Friday of Coweta, Michael Joe Friday of Tulsa, Fred Wade Friday of Waynoka and Mark David Friday and wife Sherri of Odessa, TX, his wife, Pauline Friday of Tulsa, a brother, Marion Friday and wife Kathlene of Houston, a sister, Alla Rae Kelley and husband Pete of Sealy, TX, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
