SAM "SAMMIE" HOUSTON TINDALL, JR., 81,
passed away April 21, 2011, with burial in
Necessity Cemetery near Breckenridge, TX.
Sam was born May 8, 1929 in Clovis, NM to Sam &
Ellen Houston. He attended Ranger High School in
the Class of 1946 at Ranger, TX. He lived in
Breckenridge and married Jessie Lorain Sanders
in 1950. They moved to Abilene in 1953 and Sam
worked for Ringo Drilling Company for over 35
years. His favorite pastime was to be doing what-
ever his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids
were doing.
Preceding him in death were an infant daughter
Katheryn & infant son Lee; his parents; brothers
and sisters Louis J. Tindall, James H. Tindall,
Ann Tindall, and Bernice Tindall.
Survivors include his wife Lorain; his children
Jimmy and Debbie, David and Jaime, Sammie and
Shelia, Gary, Jay, Ronnie and Tina; grandchildren
Stephanie, Brandon, Brian, Evan, Patrick, Casey,
Levi & Kelly; great-grandchildren Micah, McKenzi,
Riley, Kadee, Audrey, Taylor and Ryder; and
sister Arlene Roberts.
