BOBBY LEE EMFINGER, 72, of Eastland, TX passed
away April 1, 2003 at his family farm, with burial
in Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX.
Born Nov. 13, 1930 in Ranger to Wright and
Gertie (Gregory) Emfinger, he attended Ranger
and Colony schools and was a 1947 graduate of
Morton Valley High School specializing in basket-
ball. He served in the U.S. Army and after his
discharge he returned to Eastland County and
worked for a water well drilling company where
he lost his arm. He offered to work for Banner
Dairy on a free 30 day trial basis to see if he
could handle the job, after 43 years incident
and accident free he retired from the then
Foremost Company in 1992. He then devoted more
time to the things that brought him pleasure;
ranching, cutting horses, farming and visiting
with friends. He was the last remaining charter
member of the Eastland County Sheriff's Posse.
He attended the Harmony Baptist Church and he
never met a stranger. He was preceded in death
by a grandson, Page Emfinger.
At the time of his death, he was survived by: 2
sons, Greg Emfinger and wife Cathy of El Paso
and Bobby Guy Emfinger and wife Dana of Eastland;
a sister, Norma Gayle Emfinger Winchester (RHS-
1960) & husband Fielding of Cisco; grandchildren,
Chance, Shama, Shane, and Carey; great-grand-
children, T.J., Rheanna, Cash, Thea, Hezekiah,
Kazmira, Kiara, Hayden, Jacob and Ashtyn.
