BILLIE PRESTON LANGFORD, 84, passed away
on Feb. 14, 2014 in Marlow, OK, with burial in
Bullock Cemetery near Ranger, TX.
Billie Preston Langford was born March 9, 1929 in
Ranger to William & Allie (Beck) Langford. Bill
was raised in Ranger & graduated from Ranger High
School in 1947. In Feb. of 1953, Bill married
Edith Tibbett in Fort Worth, TX. She preceded him
in death in Oct. of 2009. He served his country
as a member of the Army National Guard. In 1971,
Bill moved to Marlow and worked for the FAA for
more than 25 years before retiring. Bill loved to
spend time with his family and took pride in being
their caretaker. He enjoyed traveling in his motor
home, fishing, and camping.
Survivors at the time of his death include, son,
David Langford and wife Gert of Collinsville, OK;
daughter, Kerry Dunbar of Marlow; 5 grandchildren,
Tyler Dunbar and wife Diana, Melissa Langford,
Carletta Langford, Tasha Cosby, and Cassandra
Minihan; sister-in-law, Jo Mills & husband David
of Fort Worth; numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill was also preceded in death by his parents,
one son, one brother Garland Langford (RHS-1938),
and one sister.
