CLAUDE MADROW "MADRIN" HUFFMAN died on
Aug. 9, 1995 in Fort Worth, TX and was in Ranger
High School Class of 1950 at Ranger, TX. He
married Peggy Walsleben, an attorney, in 1965.
He was born in Ranger, TX on March 6, 1933, to Avis
Brock and Claude Huffman. He graduated from Ranger
Jr. College in 1952, moved to Fort Worth and was
drafted into the U.S. Army. Returned to Fort
Worth and worked at Greyhound Bus Lines in the
auditing department. Started in county government
in 1958, working at the Tarrant County Courthouse.
He worked at the courthouse 26 years as Deputy
County Clerk, Deputy Sheriff, Chief Deputy County
Clerk, and in 1976 was elected County Clerk. Where
he served over 10 years and retired from the County
in Feb. of 1988. He was the Democratic candidate
for Tarrant County Clerk again in the Nov. of 1990
election. Madrin loved to travel and has traveled
extensively in Europe, the Caribbean as well as in
the United States. He had one child.
