DEAN ELDER was the son of Mr. & Mrs. J.W. Elder
of Ranger, TX. He was in the Ranger High School
Class of 1950 & married Wanda McKinney (RHS-1949).
He had three brothers who were J.W. Elder (RHS-
1940), Billy Ray Elder (RHS-1943), and Sammy Lee
Elder (RHS-1948). All are deceased except for
Billy Ray of Midland. There was also a younger
sister Mary Ann Elder Mara (RHS-1954). Several
years after his death in August of 1977, his wife,
Wanda, remarried and now lives in Hull, TX.
