Ranger Exes Memorial - RHS Class of 1950 RJC

Kenneth Williams KENNETH LEE WILLIAMS, 75, passed away June 3, 2008 in Abilene, TX, with burial in the Old Gordon Cemetery. Kenneth was born in Ranger, TX on July 17, 1932 to Addie Hardin Williams & Verdie Mae (Wilhelm). He graduated from Ranger High School in 1950 and later attended Ranger Jr. College and TCU. He began working for T&P railroad in 1952 on a road gang. He retired in 1999 as a signal maintenance man. He married Katherine Robertson in 1954 in Red Springs. She preceded him in death in 1992. He married Ellen Bollinger in Comanche in 1995. Kenneth was a member of the International Brotherhood of Signal Maintenance. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ranger for many years and served as deacon. He served on the Ranger School Board for 20 years. He was also a member of the Ranger Lions Club. He was elected to the City Commission as Police and Fire Commissioner. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Lee Williams (RHS-1950). Survived by his wife Ellen, of Ranger, his children, Kenneth L. Williams of Katy, Debbie Williams Renteria (RHS-1974) of Sugar Land, Addie Joe Williams (RHS- 1979) of Ranger, Bobby Williams of Denton and Kay Sanders of Franklin, step-children, Vicki Dugan of Ranger, Rick Moore and Wendy Albert both of Fort Worth, a brother Bobby Williams (RHS-1948) and a sister Geneva "Sis" Williams Garbo (RHS-1939), both of Arlington, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. WIFE: MARGARET ELLEN WILLIAMS, 68, passed away on July 28, 2008 in Ft. Worth, TX, with burial in Old Gordon Cemetery. Ellen was born Feb. 7, 1940 in Gordon, TX, to W.W. & Donna Mae (Calhoun) Roberson. She graduated from Gordon High School and Ranger Jr. College. She held a private pilot’s license, real estate license, owned her own business and worked for several businesses including Har-Val Athletic, Dr. Watkins Clinic in Ranger and also B&R Pipe in Ranger. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husbands, Bill Bollinger (RHS-1950) and Kenneth Williams (RHS- 1950). At the time of her death, she was survived by three children, Vicki Duggan and husband Donald of Ranger, Rick Moore of Coppell, and Wendy Albert of Ft. Worth; four grandchildren; several cousins; and one aunt.
